2025 Fantasy Outlook
When called upon to start 42 games in 2024-25, Bitadze averaged 9.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game, demonstrating his ability to contribute across the board. Across all 70 games, his regular-season averages landed at 7.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, shooting a highly efficient 61.1 percent from the field. Due to key injuries to Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, Bitadze saw plenty of action and even shared the floor with Wendell Carter quite a bit. However, Bitadze's role vanished in the playoffs with 3.9 minutes per night. As for 2025-26, the Magic are mostly healthy, though Moritz Wagner (knee) is still on the mend. Bitadze is likely to open the season as Carter's backup at center, a role that could net him minutes in the high teens to lower 20s, depending on matchups. There's also been talk of Jonathan Isaac possibly playing some center as well. Bitadze certainly showcased what he can do when the minutes are there in 2024-25, meaning fantasy managers will want to monitor his role closely to open the season. Read Past Outlooks
Late scratch Sunday
Bitadze won't play in Sunday's game against the Celtics due to left ankle soreness.
ANALYSIS
Bitadze was slated to start Sunday due to Wendell Carter (ankle) being sidelined, though the former will now join Carter on the sidelines. With both big men out, Orlando Robinson will make his first start of the season.

Bitadze agreed to a three-year, $25 million deal this offseason to return to the Magic. The Georgian big man was thrust into a starting role early last season while Orlando dealt with injuries to Wendell Carter and Jonathan Isaac. From Nov. 4 through Jan. 19, Bitadze started 31 of 35 appearances and averaged 7.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.7 blocks and 0.7 steals in 22.5 minutes per game. However, when Orlando's frontcourt was healthy, Bitadze struggled to make an impact. As a reserve (30 games), Bitadze averaged 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.9 minutes. Carter has played more than 60 games only once in his six-year career, and that came in 2021-22 when he made 62 appearances during his first full season in Orlando. Given Carter's injury history, Bitadze has value as an insurance policy, but the latter isn't worth drafting in standard leagues. Moritz Wagner will be Carter's primary backup, while Isaac may get looks as a small-ball center, limiting Bitadze's ceiling. Bitadze needs multiple things to break his way to be fantasy-relevant, but he's still worth monitoring on the waiver wire.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could become trade candidate
Bitadze could become a trade candidate around the February deadline, Philip Rossman-Reich of Orlando Magic Daily reports.
ANALYSIS
Bitadze is expected to handle a key backup center role for the Magic early in the season while Moritz Wagner recovers from his knee injury. He showed last year that he can be productive with consistent minutes, averaging 7.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game during the regular season. However, with the team's salary situation tightening, Bitadze is seen as a potential luxury piece that could be moved later in the season. Once Wagner returns, there may not be enough minutes to go around, making Bitadze a prime trade candidate at the deadline.
