After scoring two points on 1-of-4 shooting from the field in Sunday's loss to Oklahoma City, Barlow bounced back with an efficient 12 points Tuesday. He has now scored in double figures in five of his last seven appearances. The two-way player has been a mainstay in the starting five since late November, averaging 9.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 27.6 minutes per game over his last 14 appearances.

Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse said Friday that Barlow has a chance to crack the rotation on Opening Night, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

"For sure, he does," Nurse said. "At least rotation-wise, for sure. I mean, I think we are starting that way with him right now. He's the best kind of at the position right now. He's kind of played that way most days." The 76ers are still dealing with injuries to Joel Embiid and Paul George, which also helps Barlow's case. It would be rare for a player on a two-way contract to get rotation reps so early, but Barlow has been making noise since the beginning of training camp, and he carried that momentum into the preseason.
