2025 Fantasy Outlook
Podziemski underwent surgeries on his wrist and core this offseason, but is expected to be healthy for training camp. Despite a slight boost in points, threes and steals in Year 2, it wasn't the breakout performance many were hoping for from the Santa Clara product. He's been a key part of Golden State's rotation since being drafted outside of the lottery in 2023, but his production and impact fluctuate. In 12 postseason contests last season, Podziemski scored at least 26 points twice and was held to single digits five times, a trend that continued from the regular season. While he has an all-around skill set, he's not elite in any single category, plus he has to scavenge for usage behind Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green. Buddy Hield's hot shooting also puts Podziemski on the back burner at times, and Jonathan Kuminga will be in the mix again after signing an extension. Podziemski has undoubtedly been a valuable fantasy asset at times. However, he's finished outside the top 135 in eight-category leagues in each of his first two campaigns, despite making 138 total regular-season appearances and averaging 26.7 minutes per game. Heading into his age-22 season, there's plenty of room for growth, but this is an aging Golden State squad that'll continue to prioritize winning over developmental minutes. Read Past Outlooks
Coming off bench
Podziemski will come off the bench Saturday against the Cavaliers, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Podziemski is coming off a dud, posting six points (2-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 20 minutes in a loss to the 76ers on Thursday. The Warriors need a spark and will turn to Pat Spencer and Buddy Hield in the backcourt.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Podziemski enjoyed a solid rookie year with the Warriors, averaging 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, but more importantly, he started 28 games (out of 74 appearances) and logged a solid 26.6 minutes per game. Things are on the upside trajectory for Podziemski, as the Warriors parted ways with Klay Thompson in the offseason, so the second-year guard is likely to open the season as the starting shooting guard while Buddy Hield comes off the bench. Scoring aside, Podziemski has already proven himself to be one of the best rebounding guards in the NBA, trailing only Luka Doncic, Josh Hart and Josh Giddey in the category last season. The uptick in minutes and more significant role should translate to Podziemski averaging double-digit points for the first time in his career, especially if he's able to maintain the same efficiency levels he showed as a rookie -- he shot 45.4 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three-point range. Maintaining efficiency while experiencing an uptick in volume will be vital to preserving his fantasy upside. Still, unless Podziemski suffers a massive regression, he's primed to be a solid -- if not better -- fantasy asset in all categories as Stephen Curry's teammate in the Warriors' backcourt.

Podziemski could be part of a trade package for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Sidery expecting the Warriors to make a play for Milwaukee's franchise player, he notes that Golden State could build a package around Podziemski, Jonathan Kuminga and four first-round picks. Additionally, Draymond Green would need to be shipped to a third team to make the numbers work. Podziemski has had an up-and-down season in Golden State thus far, posting regular-season averages of 12.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 43.6 percent shooting from the field.
