2025 Fantasy Outlook
In 2024-25, Reaves averaged 20.2 points, 5.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.7 made threes, which are all career highs. He shot 38 percent from deep on a career-high 7.3 attempts per game and made 88 percent from the charity stripe on 5.0 tries a night, also career highs. His production and role didn't change after the addition of Luka Doncic. However, the Lakers may move Reaves to the bench to make room in the first five for Deandre Ayton and/or Marcus Smart, who were both acquired this offseason. If Reaves is forced into a reserve role, his usage might actually go up, as he wouldn't have to share the court with Luka Doncic and LeBron James as often. Given the lofty standards he's set for himself, it'll be difficult for Reaves to take a step forward in fantasy. He has finished as a top-35 player in eight-category leagues in each of the past two seasons, including a top-25 finish last year. Reaves' strong finishes were propelled by missing only nine regular-season games during those two years. Whether he's starting or not, Reaves should be a go-to player whenever he's on the court, but this may be his final year under contract, as he owns a $14.9 million player option for 2026-27. Goes off for 31 points in win
Reaves closed with 31 points (9-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 11-13 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes during Friday's 118-104 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Even though Luka Doncic had an impressive stat line and finished just three rebounds shy of a triple-double, it was Reaves who led the Lakers in scoring in this win. Reaves has been outstanding this season and is among the league's top scorers while filling the scoring void left by the absence of LeBron James (back). Reaves has been on a tear of late as well, as this was his seventh game (out of 10 appearances) with at least 25 points in 2025-26.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2022
Reaves continued to show improvement during his third NBA season, setting new career highs in games played, minutes, points, rebounds, assists, steals and made three-pointers per game. Despite improvement almost across the board, Reaves saw his field-goal percentage take a step backward from a blistering 52.9 percent in 2022-23, to a still highly respectable 48.6 percent in 2023-24. He also went from 39.8 percent from behind the arc in 2022-23, to 36.7 percent in 2023-24. Additionally, he showed an increase from 1.5 turnovers in per game in 2022-23 to 2.1 turnovers per game in 2023-24. Regular season and playoffs combined, Reaves hit the 20-point mark on 23 occasions last season, including a season-high 32-point effort on 10-for-18 shooting in a road win against the Celtics in February. He also logged a minimum of 10 assists on seven occasions, including five double-doubles and one triple-double. He hauled in a minimum of 10 rebounds in five outings, including another three double-doubles for a total of eight double-doubles and one triple-double on the campaign. Reaves knocked down more than three three-pointers in nine outings, including a season-high seven threes on two occasions. Looking ahead, Reaves is set to remain the starting shooting guard for the Lakers, playing a critical role as an offensive contributor. He is unlikely to make much of a push for new highs across the stat sheet, considering he averaged over 30 minutes per game last season and must continue to share the ball with the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and D'Angelo Russell.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Wants to remain in Los Angeles
Reaves said Monday that he wants to remain in Los Angeles, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.
ANALYSIS
"I've said it a million times. I want to be in L.A. I love it," Reaves said. "Even though the other extension was turned down, that doesn't mean that I'm trying to go get a gigantic number that don't make sense. I want to be here, I want to win. I want to do everything that can help this organization be better. So I don't try to think about those things." Reaves turned down an extension offer from the Lakers during the summer for roughly $87 million over four years, as that was the best they could offer at the time. Looking ahead to next offseason, Reaves will be eligible for a contract worth up to $240.7 million over five years if he opts out of his player option, which he's obviously expected to do.
