2023 Fantasy Outlook
Morrobel, a 19-year-old lefty slugger the Rangers gave $1.8 million to in January of 2021, showed an impressive combination of projectable raw power and sound swing decisions in the lower levels last year. He hit .313/.391/.451 with a 19.8 K% and 9.9 BB% in 50 games across the Arizona Complex League and Single-A, with all three of his home runs coming in complex ball. His 90th percentile exit velocity is excellent relative to his peers, according to Prospects Live, and his affinity for linedrives (25%) suppressed his home-run total more than a lack of power. At 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, Morrobel should easily add 10-20 pounds of muscle in the coming years, so he could profile nicely in an outfield corner, even though he saw time in center field last year.

ANALYSIS
A lefty-hitting center fielder from the Dominican Republic, Morrobel has a projectable 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. He demonstrates good contact skills at the plate and is a good athlete who could be a power/speed threat, depending on how he matures physically.
