2025 Fantasy Outlook
Robles completely turned his career around after joining the Mariners in June, slashing .328/.393/.467 with 30 steals in 77 games with Seattle after Washington finally threw in the towel on the former top prospect. He enjoyed some initial major-league success in 2019, but Robles struggled with the Nationals in the years that followed and ultimately fell out of favor with the organization. Conversely, he impressed the M's brass so much in his first two months with the club that he landed a two-year, $9.75 million extension in August. He went from on the fringes of the major leagues to leading off regularly over the final two months. Robles improved his contact rate down the stretch and the results followed, but it's tough to trust given his track record. Further, his power is limited and the home park works against him. Likely out 12 weeks
Robles was diagnosed with a small fracture in the humeral head of his left shoulder after an MRI on Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined at least 12 weeks, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The injury was caused by the shoulder dislocation that he suffered while making a leaping catch into the wall/netting Sunday against the Giants. It appears Robles won't require surgery, but the injury is expected to need six weeks to heal before he can begin a six-week rehab program. Dominic Canzone was added to the big-league roster when Robles was placed on the injured list, but it was Luke Raley that received the start in right field Monday versus Houston.

It seems impossible that Robles is still only 26, but it's true. It's been nothing but disappointment for the former top prospect since his promising rookie season back in 2019. Injury was the main culprit last season, as Robles was limited to just 36 games with the Nationals because of lumbar spine spasms. His last game came in late June, but Robles did return to play winter ball and at the moment expects to be healthy heading into next season. He was productive in 2023 when healthy, collecting a .750 OPS, stealing eight bases and cutting his strikeout rate to 14.3 percent over 126 plate appearances. Robles should get the first crack in center field for the Nats and perhaps he'll be motivated in his walk year, but it's difficult to justify even a small investment in him in fantasy leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Off to strong start
Robles is slashing a productive .306/.393/.347 through 59 plate appearances. He's started all 16 of Washington's games thus far.
ANALYSIS
Robles' numbers represent a major bounce back. Since the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Robles has supplied a lowly .216/.291/.306 slash. He's re-invented in 2023, boasting a career-low 13.6 strikeout rate and a career-high 10.2 walk rate. Robles still isn't making hard contact, but he's stolen three bases and has been been racking up hits as well. He's still just 25-years-old.
