Analysis
The right-hander has been sidelined nearly two months due to a forearm strain but is ready to rejoin the active roster after a five-appearance rehab assignment. Dubin had a 1.33 ERA and six holds in 18 appearances this season prior to the injury, and he should at least be in the setup mix for Houston with closer Josh Hader (shoulder) landing on the injured list.

Dubin made his major league debut in 2023 appearing in three games for the Astros, including one start, while compiling a 7.00 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and striking out 11 in nine innings pitched. The 28-year-old wasn't better at Triple-A Sugar Land as he struggled to the tune of a 6.63 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 9.78 K/9 in 55.2 innings while making 12 starts. Dubin has no real appeal for fantasy managers entering the season with no path to a rotation spot and no chance at working high leverage situations if he makes the bullpen out of camp.
