2026 Fantasy Outlook
From a performance standpoint, Henderson was excellent in 2025 across 15 starts at Triple-A and five starts in the majors, although his usage and availability was frustrating for those rostering him in fantasy. Whether he was pitching in the majors or minors, Henderson was utterly dominant from April through mid-June, giving up fewer than three runs in all 12 outings and fewer than two runs in 11 of the 12. He made his big-league debut April 20, striking out nine Athletics over six innings of one-run ball, but he was then optioned to Triple-A for a few weeks. Henderson rejoined the big-league rotation in mid-May, logging a 1.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 20:5 K:BB in 15 innings across three starts, but he was optioned back to Nashville on May 26 in favor of bullpen reinforcements. He was great in his next couple starts at Triple-A but logged a 5.77 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 32:10 K:BB while giving up six homers in seven starts during the dog days of summer and wasn't recalled until August. He was placed on the injured list with a flexor strain after his Aug. 3 start and didn't pitch again in 2025. The 23-year-old righty still logged a career-high 103 innings, but durability concerns remain. Henderson has an unusual arsenal for a 6-foot righty starter, as his 82-mph changeup is easily his best pitch, and he throws that and his 93-mph fastball a combined 89 percent of the time. He doesn't need any other pitches against righties, but he threw his cutter 12 percent of the time against lefties. Projections will like Henderson more than the scouts, and the health of his arm will be worth tracking in spring training. Read Past Outlooks

Rest of Season From Preseason

Clean bill of health
PMilwaukee Brewers
October 23, 2025
The Brewers deemed Henderson (elbow) to be fully healthy at the end of the season, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
Henderson's season came to an early end after being diagnosed with a flexor strain in his right elbow in early August, but the team has now confirmed the young right-hander made a full recovery and should have a normal offseason. The 23-year-old turned a few heads by posting a 1.79 ERA and 0.99 WHIP alongside a 33:8 K:BB across 25.1 innings during his five regular-season starts with Milwaukee, and he figures to have a strong chance to make the Brewers' Opening Day rotation in 2026.

Stat Review
How does Logan Henderson compare to other starting pitchers?
This section compares his stats with all starting pitcher seasons from the previous three seasons (minimum 120 innings)*. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that stat and it would be considered average.

* Exit Velocity, Barrels/BBE %, Balls Hit 95+ MPH %, and Spin Rate are benchmarked against 2019 data (min 120 IP). See here for more exit velocity/barrels stats plus an explanation of current limitations with that data set.
  • K/BB
    Strikeout to walk ratio.
  • K/9
    Average strikeouts per nine innings.

Groundball to flyball ratio. The higher the number, the more likely a pitcher is to induce groundballs.
  • Left On Base
The percentage of base runners that a pitcher strands on base over the course of a season.
  • Exit Velocity
The speed of the baseball as it comes off the bat, immediately after a batter makes contact.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
Traditional scouts have several reasons to pan the idea of Henderson making it as a big-league starter, but stat-line scouts will see a lot to get excited about. Henderson, a fourth-round pick in 2021, logged a 28.7 K-BB% and 0.88 WHIP in 46.1 innings at Double-A and a 20.4 K-BB% and 1.06 WHIP in 23.2 innings at Triple-A, and some of his lower-level statistics are even more impressive. However, he's an undersized (5-foot-11, 194 pounds) righty with a low-90s fastball and a below-average, seldom-used breaking ball. Henderson's plus changeup is his money maker, but it's quite rare for a fastball/changeup righty to make it as a starting pitcher. Henderson's fastball has good movement and he locates it well, which has thus far allowed him to get by on below-average velocity, but he'll have little margin for error whenever he gets his shot in the majors, as he's also a flyball-heavy pitcher. An oblique injury delayed Henderson's start to the 2024 season, but his 81.1 innings still marked a career high. Projection systems see a mid-rotation starter in Henderson, just know that there aren't many, if any, recent examples of successful starting pitchers with his combination of size, handedness and pitch mix.
Henderson, a righty, exited a March 17 Spring Breakout game with left oblique discomfort. He displayed increased velocity this spring prior to the injury, but we will have to wait a few weeks before seeing if he can hold that mid-90s fastball velocity deep into starts. Last year, Henderson had a 2.75 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 106:26 K:BB in 78.2 innings as a command specialist with low-90s fastball and a plus changeup at Single-A.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Looking to expand repertoire
PMilwaukee Brewers
December 26, 2025
Henderson recently told Adam McCalvy of MLB.com that he wants a "full arsenal" in 2026. "I want a full arsenal instead of just using two pitches," Henderson said. "I know there's still a lot of ways for me to grow."
Analysis
After working primarily fastball-changeup during his time with the big club in 2025, Henderson is "carefully reintroducing" a curveball this winter, and it sounds like he wants to incorporate his cutter and slider more as well. The right-hander missed the end of the season with a flexor tendon strain but is a full go this offseason, with his plan being to resume throwing off a mound in late December or early January. McCalvy notes that Henderson is in position to pitch "significant innings" for Milwaukee in 2026, likely as a member of the starting rotation.
