2025 Fantasy Outlook
Stowers was one of Baltimore's top prospects but appeared in just 19 games in 2024 before being dealt to the Marlins at the trade deadline. He quickly joined the big-league club in Miami but finished the season with a .208/.268/.333 slash line and 35.4 percent strikeout rate. He had 18 home runs in 58 Triple-A contests but couldn't find his power in the majors with just three long balls. The swing-and-miss tendencies have been an issue throughout his time in the minors, and his .242 average the past two seasons at Triple-A is also concerning. Stowers should receive plenty of chances to work things out in the majors with the Marlins in 2025, but he's hardly a sure thing to produce despite his prospect pedigree. Read Past Outlooks

Stowers is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians.
Analysis
It appears to be a routine day off for Stowers, as Miami faces Cleveland lefty Logan Allen for Tuesday's series opener. From left to right, Jakob Marsee, Derek Hill and Dane Myers will patrol the outfield for the Marlins. Stowers went 0-for-10 at the plate with a 2:3 BB:K across the final three games of last week's series versus Atlanta.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Stowers was part of the Orioles' Opening Day roster last season, but he was sent down after a week and ultimately spent the overwhelming majority of his year back at Triple-A Norfolk. The 26-year-old posted an .875 OPS with 17 homers in 68 games with Norfolk, but he struck out at a 27 percent rate there and in 14 contests with the big club went just 2-for-30 at the dish. Stowers remains intriguing because of his power potential, but he's been passed up by some fellow youngsters on the Orioles' outfield depth chart and others are also threatening to leapfrog him. A path to fantasy viability in 2024 might require a trade to a new organization.
Stowers' strong season with Triple-A Norfolk had Orioles fans clamoring for his first taste of the majors. He slashed .264/.357/.527 with 19 home runs and 78 RBI in 95 games at Norfolk, and he ended up logging a .253/.306/.418 line in 99 plate appearances in the majors. He's a corner outfielder, and there's a job to be had in right field if Anthony Santander is deemed a better fit as the designated hitter in 2023. Stowers' power is his most intriguing tool -- he boasted an 11.3 percent barrel rate and 50 percent hard-hit rate in his limited sample with the Orioles in 2022. Barring a bad spring, he should open the year on the strong side of a platoon. Stowers received just four plate appearances and no starts versus left-handers in the majors last year, though he'll eventually have to get a longer look.

Named NL Player of the Month
OFMiami Marlins
August 5, 2025
Stowers was named the National League Player of the Month for July, Jason Foster and Andy Werle of MLB.com report.
Analysis
The Marlins went 15-10 in July and surged up the NL Wild Card race in large part due to Stowers' success at the plate. He finished the month with a 1.269 OPS with two steals, 16 runs, 10 home runs and 20 RBI across 91 plate appearances, and his .818 slugging percentage was second for the month behind Nick Kurtz. A large chunk of Stowers' production came directly before and after the All-Star break; in the July 13 game against the Orioles and July 18 contest against the Royals, he went a combined 8-for-10 with five home runs and 11 RBI.
