2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Dodgers have the deepest starting pitching depth chart in baseball, although six of the 13 starters on the 40-man roster had an injury designation as of mid-December. Wrobleski hasn't pitched well enough in the majors to be guaranteed any starts in 2025, but he's healthy, is a lefty and has a starter's pitch mix. He may yet be traded this offseason and could eventually be moved to the bullpen if he sticks with the Dodgers. However, Wrobleski's 95.1 mph average fastball velocity was almost two ticks higher than the average lefty's fastball, and that's reason enough to be patient in dynasty leagues. He opened the 2024 season with a 3.06 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and an 18.2 K-BB% in 13 starts at Double-A and he upped his strikeout rate from 23 percent at Double-A to 31.8 percent at Triple-A. The Pacific Coast League punished him to the tune of a .441 BABIP and .298 average against, and the balls and strikes challenge system led to his walk rate spiking from 4.8 percent at Double-A to 13.6 percent at Triple-A. Wrobleski is a nice sleeper in deeper redraft and dynasty leagues, but nothing is promised with regards to his 2025 role. Read Past Outlooks

Piggybacks into win
Wrobleski (2-2) earned the win over San Diego on Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and no walks while striking out three batters over five innings.
ANALYSIS
Emmet Sheehan got the start and threw 65 pitches over four frames for Los Angeles, while Wrobleski handled the final five innings. The southpaw cruised through the first four of those frames, holding San Diego scoreless on just one hit. Things got dicey for Wrobleski in the ninth, however, as he gave up three hits and was hurt by a fielding error behind him to allow the Padres to tie the score, but Will Smith's walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame ensured Wrobleski still emerged with the victory. The 24-year-old hurler gave up eight runs over five frames in his season debut April 8, but he's been much better since, posting a 2.79 ERA and 0.93 WHIP across his subsequent four appearances spanning 19.1 innings. It's unclear if Wrobleski will continue to piggyback with Sheehan in the short-term or settle into more of a regular long-relief role.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Wrobleski is a 6-foot-1 lefty starter whom the Dodgers gave a little under $200K after selecting him in the 11th round of the 2021 draft. He broke out last year at High-A, logging a 2.90 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, a 26 percent strikeout rate and an 8.3 percent walk rate across 102.1 innings while staying healthy all season. Wrobleski had Tommy John surgery while at Oklahoma State and his stuff has ticked up since then, with his fastball sitting in the mid-90s and touching 98 mph. His low-80s slider and upper-80s cutter are each at least average pitches, while his changeup lags behind. He projects as a No. 3 or No. 4 starter in the big leagues, although the Dodgers' rotation could be difficult to break into in the coming years. He'll head to Double-A and will need to perform, given his age (turns 24 in July).
