Juan Sanchez

18-Year-Old Third Baseman3B
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Sanchez signed for high six figures out of the Dominican Republic in January 2025 and was one of the top prospects in the Dominican Summer League. A future middle-of-the-order run producer if all goes as planned, Sanchez is a strong, 6-foot-3 righty slugger who already has a 115.8 mph max EV. He slashed .341/.439/.565 with eight home runs, four steals, a 10.3 percent walk rate and a 17.4 percent strikeout rate in 56 games, good for a 156 wRC+. He excels at pulling the ball in the air and should have no trouble getting to power right away stateside as an 18-year-old. He played shortstop last year but is a clear third baseman long term. Sanchez won't run much as he continues to fill out his frame, but he could be a strong four-category producer in fantasy. Read Past Outlooks

Analysis
Signed for just under $1 million in January, Sanchez has been impressive as a 17-year-old and earned DSL All-Star honors. The young slugger has split his time between shortstop and third base, and the latter position could be the better fit as he moves up the ladder, but his right-handed power potential should play anywhere on the diamond. Sanchez's stock will rise quickly if he handles the transition to full-season ball in similar fashion next year.
