Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Perkins broke out in 2024 after his season was delayed by a lat injury. The powerful 6-foot-1 righty had a 2.96 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 100 strikeouts in 76 innings at Double-A as a 24-year-old, and he got better as the season went on. He had three 10-K outings and a 0.99 WHIP over his final nine starts, and he may not need much time at Triple-A to be deemed ready for primetime. Perkins has legitimate stuff to back up his impressive 2024 stats, boasting a mid-90s fastball with good carry, a plus slider and a decent cutter. His changeup and curveball could use some refinement, and he will face questions about his strike throwing until he proves himself in the majors, just due to the fact he's already 25 years old. However, the pitcher Perkins was down the stretch last year looked like a potential mid-rotation starter in the big leagues, so he's a nice sleeper in dynasty and in redraft. Read Past Outlooks

Makes season debut
Perkins (undisclosed) struck out four and allowed three hits and no walks over four scoreless innings Thursday for Triple-A Las Vegas after being reinstated from the 7-day injured list.
ANALYSIS
Perkins missed the first month of the season due to an unspecified injury, but he debuted in impressive fashion Thursday. Regarded as one of the Athletics' top pitching prospects, Perkins could be a candidate to join the big-league rotation later on this summer.
