2025 Fantasy Outlook
A potential five-tool center fielder, Quintero dominated the Dominican Summer League in 2023 (180 wRC+) and dominated the Arizona Complex League in 2024 (142 wRC+). He stumbled at Single-A as an 18-year-old, slashing .199/.333/.283 with a .257 BABIP and zero home runs in 27 games. Quintero's power has trended down as he's faced tougher competition, and that's not surprising, given that he just turned 19 in September and is still filling out his 6-foot frame. A former catcher, Quintero moved to center field when it became clear he was going to be at least a plus runner, and that speed is a big part of the dynasty appeal. He stole 51 bases in 105 games in rookie ball and has never struck out at a 20 percent clip. His 104.8 mph 90th percentile exit velocity is really strong for a plus center fielder his age. If more game power comes, he would shoot up prospect lists. Read Past Outlooks

Excelling in stateside debut

Quintero is slashing .346/.455/.477 with three home runs, 15 steals and a 21.8 percent strikeout rate through 36 games in the Arizona Complex League.
ANALYSIS
An athletic center fielder whom the Dodgers signed for $300,000 in January of 2023, Quintero put up video game numbers in the Dominican Summer League (180 wRC+) last year, and so far his stateside debut has been a big success. Quintero's plus speed is a big part of the fantasy appeal, but he also excels at getting the ball in the air, logging groundball rates around 35 percent at both rookie-level stops.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
If you like numbers scouting in the Dominican Summer League, Quintero is as good of a flyer as anyone. The athletic Venezuelan got almost $300K from the Dodgers last winter as a catcher but quickly converted to center field. He has been clocked as at least a plus runner and Quintero really shines in statistical models after slashing .359/.472/.618 with five home runs and 22 steals in 49 DSL games. Quintero benefited from a .418 BAIBP, but he walked (15.1 BB%) almost as much as he struck out (16.0 K%), so there aren't any obvious concerns. Sometimes these types of players come stateside and continue their ascent up lists, but perhaps more often, significant flaws with the hit tool emerge.
