Bouncing back from forearm strain
PMilwaukee Brewers  AAA
Forearm
June 23, 2025
Rodriguez was recently diagnosed with a flexor strain in his right forearm but has since resumed throwing at the Brewers' spring training facility in Arizona, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis
Rodriguez was removed from his start with Triple-A Nashville on May 29 after experiencing forearm discomfort and was placed on the 7-day injured list two days later. Though the 23-year-old still looks to be multiple weeks away from rejoining the Triple-A rotation, the fact that he hasn't been shut down from throwing suggests that the Brewers aren't too concerned about him requiring season-ending surgery. Rodriguez made a 3.1-inning relief appearance for the Brewers on May 22 but has otherwise spent the entire 2025 campaign at Nashville, where he's posted a 2.64 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 51:18 K:BB across 47.2 innings in 10 appearances (nine starts).

MLB debut coming soon?
PMilwaukee Brewers  AAA
June 5, 2024
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Wednesday that the organization has considered calling up Rodriguez due to the club's rotation injuries, reports Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Analysis
The 22-year-old struggled early this year at Triple-A Nashville with an 8.13 ERA in his first six starts, but he has a 3.03 ERA and 33;7 K:BB over 29.2 frames in his past five outings. The Brewers would ideally give Rodriguez some more time at the highest level of the minors before calling him up, but the plethora of rotation injuries may move up the timeline for his MLB debut.
