Built more like an NBA shooting guard than a big-league shortstop, the 6-foot-6 Winokur has made 61 starts at shortstop, 20 starts in center field, 10 starts at third base and two starts in right field for the Mighty Mussels. The Twins gave Winokur a $1.5 million bonus -- almost double the $859,700 slot value -- after selecting him with the No. 82 overall pick in 2023. He has plus raw power and plus speed and has been a better hitter than expected, although he will likely always run higher strikeout rates, given his height and long levers.
