Todd Zola ranks this week's starters, and with the trade deadline approaching it's time to watch for dugout hugs from pitchers like Marcus Stroman.
2018 Fantasy Outlook
Wilkerson found little success with Triple-A Colorado Springs after being acquired by the Brewers in 2016, so the team decided to assign him to the Double-A ranks for the entire 2017 season. The move seemed to work, as he was steady over 24 starts and showed enough to make his major-league debut last September. Wilkerson has averaged over a strikeout per inning in his minor-league career, but he is not a hard thrower -- he averaged just 89.7 mph on his fastball over his three appearances with the big club -- so his fantasy upside is limited. He could find himself in the conversation for a rotation spot this spring, but given his lack of velocity and with just 20 career Triple-A outings under his belt, he will likely find himself on the outside looking in come Opening Day.
