Anyone who took Stanton as a late round power dart willing to wait for him to come back from elbow tendonitis in both elbows was suprisingly rewarded with an excellent season, by recent Stanton standards. The human statue hit for his highest batting average in four seasons and hit 20 second half home runs once he shook off the rust from missing so much of the first half. The strikeouts are always going to be a part of Stanton's game, but a .283/.356/.650 second half triple-slash line is going to get some attention this winter for those who had already thrown dirt onto his fantasy grave. Stanton's fantasy value gets an additional bump because he gained outfield eligibility by standing in the outfield for exactly 20 games to keep his hot bat in the lineup while Aaron Judge was dealing with his throwing arm problem. Stanton's 600 PA projection numbers would be amazing, but he has not had that many plate appearances since 2018 and something always breaks down on him somewhere. Expect 450 PA, 25 homers, and a .240 average and happily accept anyting above that from someone who no longet clogs up your utility spot. Read Past Outlooks
