Gurriel played 75 games with Triple-A Gwinnett before Atlanta traded him to the Royals in late August. The 40-year-old veteran showed he still had some gas in the tank with a .292/.378/.485 line plus 11 steals for the Stripers. He wasn't as productive with Kansas, batting just .241/.338/.296 with only three extra base hits in 65 plate appearances. Gurriel will probably need to sign another minor league deal before getting one more chance with a major league team. He had a nice run after joining the Astros in 2016, but at 41 years old, Gurriel has no fantasy appeal. Read Past Outlooks
