The progeny of Eric made it to the majors. Like his father, Kyle is large-framed, but that is where the comparison ends. The younger Karros has not hit for much power at the advanced levels of the minors and had just one home run in 156 plate appearances with the Rockies. His defense got him to Colorado, but his bat needs to show up to keep him there. He showed too much swing and miss for someone without power, especially on breaking pitches where he hit .163 with a 46.5% whiff rate when offering at those pitches. Until Karros shows some signs of life at the plate, it is best to find a way to avoid needing to consider him at your corner infield spot in deep NL-Only leagues this winter. Read Past Outlooks
