Guerrero may have ascended to top-50 overall prospect status by now had he had a perfectly healthy pro career to date. However, since signing as a top international free agent in January of 2023, Guerrero missed most of the 2023 Dominican Summer League season due to a torn labrum in his right shoulder, and then he was limited to 28 games in 2024 due to another injury to the same shoulder. Guerrero slashed .330/.452/.466 with two home runs, 13 steals, a 17.5 percent walk rate and a 25.4 percent strikeout rate in 126 plate appearances before getting shut down. A .464 BABIP contributed to his gaudy numbers, but it's pretty clear that a healthy Guerrero is a very exciting offensive prospect with a high ceiling across the board. If he can put the shoulder injury behind him, the sky is the limit, but it's fair to discount him significantly due to the missed time and nature of the injuries. Read Past Outlooks
