Burdick was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville by the Marlins early in 2023, and he had a .603 OPS in 37 plate appearances before being sent back down for the rest of the campaign. The 27-year-old clubbed 24 homers and stole 12 bases in 114 games for Jacksonville, though his .217/.325/.443 slash line was a bit underwhelming. Burdick should have a shot to make Miami's Opening Day roster in 2024 and has power and speed potential, but he's not likely to work as much more than a fourth outfielder, and his 36.6 percent strikeout rate at Triple-A last year is a major red flag.
