Injuries have curtailed Davis so far in the early stages of his professional career. A 2018 second-round pick by the Cubs, Davis flashed some impressive tools as a youngster and quickly climbed up Chicago's prospect ladder. However, the now 25-year-old dealt with injuries in 2019, then had his 2020 minor-league season wiped out due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He had a bit better luck in 2021, playing 99 games across three levels, but 2022 was another injury-ravaged campaign. It was more of the same last season, as Davis was sidetracked by both a fractured back and fractured ankle, the latter of which ultimately shut him down in September, and the Cubs then let him go in the offseason. If he can stay on the field, Davis potentially offers some pop with above-average speed. However, he's yet to make his MLB debut, and now he's looking for a new home. Davis still has some intrigue if he happens to get a real shot somewhere, but fantasy managers should keep expectations in check. Read Past Outlooks
