Call didn't receive his first real chance with the Nationals last season until Jesse Winker and Lane Thomas were traded at the deadline. He took full advantage of the opportunity, slashing .349/.413/.554 with three homers and four steals in 23 games before his season ended in late August when he tore the plantar fascia in his left foot. There was a nearly 100-point gap between Call's xwOBA (.317) and actual wOBA (.412), and his hard-hit rate (32.5 percent) and barrel rate (five percent) were right in line with his career marks. That points to luck being a big part of his excellent small-sample production, and a .403 BABIP further backs that up. Call seems likely to revert back to being a fourth outfielder in 2025 who is unlikely to have much fantasy value. Read Past Outlooks
