Trout had another season sabotaged by injury in 2024. This time it was a torn meniscus in late April which required surgery, and just as he seemed to be nearing a return, Trout suffered another tear in the same meniscus and needed season-ending surgery in August. Trout clubbed 10 home runs and also stole six bases - matching his total from the previous four seasons combined - in 29 games before getting hurt, showing that he's still capable of being a fantasy difference maker if he can stay off the IL. The three-time MVP has said he'd be fine with moving to an outfield corner or serving as a designated hitter in 2025 if it helps keep him healthy, and at this point such a move might be a necessity.
