Mitch Bratt

Arizona Diamondbacks AA
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Bratt's stats are more alluring than his scouting reports, but as a southpaw with excellent control, it's possible he continues to exceed expectations. Acquired by Arizona along with two other pitching prospects in the deadline deal that sent Merrill Kelly to Texas, Bratt logged a 3.38 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 29.3 percent strikeout rate and 4.2 percent walk rate in 122.1 innings at Double-A last season. Among qualified full-season starters, Bratt's 25.1 K-BB% was the top mark, ahead of higher-ranked prospects T.J. Nichols, Trey Gibson and Robby Snelling, among others. Despite that dominance, Bratt doesn't have overwhelming stuff on paper. His fastball sits in the 91-92 mph range and his above-average cutter might be his only above-average offering. Bratt does have a full mix of middling pitches and he has a deceptive delivery, which combined with his 70-grade control has allowed him to dominate minor-league hitters. It's unlikely he experiences the same level of success against big-league hitters without an uptick in stuff, but he could be a No. 4 or No. 5 starter who doesn't kill your ratios. Bratt is on the 40-man roster and could debut this summer. Read Past Outlooks
