Dodd served as a spot starter for Atlanta last season but endured an ugly debut campaign with a 7.60 ERA and 15:12 K:BB over 34.1 innings (seven starts), and he didn't fare much better at Triple-A Gwinnett with a 6.03 ERA in 16 outings. A 2021 third-round pick, he's unlikely to have any chance of making the Opening Day roster, and a move to the bullpen could quickly be in store if he continues to struggle as a starter at Triple-A.
