As long as he can avoid setbacks, it would appear he is in line for his normal offseason routine. The 28-year-old southpaw is coming off his finest campaign to date, establishing new career-highs in games played (65), innings pitched (59) and wins (7). He was eighth in the league with 30 holds while posting solid ratios as the top lefty out of the Cardinals bullpen. Romero figures to reprise that same role in 2025 and could even earn save opportunities if St. Louis trades closer Ryan Helsley.
