Known for his impeccable control, Martin turned in a career-best 1.7 percent walk rate that was also best in the league in 2024. Not bad for someone during their age-38 season and who was otherwise remarkable in a setup role for Boston. The right-hander's 26.1 K-BB percentage was T-13th among relievers, and he landed in a favorable situation with Texas on a one-year deal.
