Villar made only 11 appearances with the Giants, all in June and July. His .802 OPS with Triple-A Sacramento came at one of the more pitching-friendly parks in the PCL, but overall, that's a hitter's environment and Villar's numbers were pedestrian, especially for a 27-year-old spending his third season at the level. He only logged 37 plate appearances with San Francisco. Villar is best suited as a corner infielder, though he can fill in at second.
