32-Year-Old PitcherRP
Los Angeles Angels
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Once a dominant closer, Romano mustered only eight saves in 2025, with six of those recorded during a three-week stretch last May. The 32-year-old experienced diminished velocity at the onset of the campaign, and while he overcame that problem, he struggled mightily for Philadelphia. Among relief pitchers with 40-plus innings in 2025, Romano's 8.23 ERA was worst in the league by a full point. In addition, his durability issues resurfaced with the right-hander reporting a stiff neck and numbness in his finger late in the season. Despite these red flags, Romano secured a one-year, $2 million contract with the Angels for 2026 in hopes he can return to his previous form. He joins an otherwise inexperienced group of relief pitchers who will compete for late-inning roles this spring. Read Past Outlooks
