Injuries were a problem again for Jimenez in 2024, as he made two trips to the injured list during the first half due to adductor and hamstring issues. Even more worrisome was that the 28-year-old didn't hit at all when on the field, easily setting career lows with a .626 OPS, 78 wRC+ and just six home runs in 98 games between the White Sox and Orioles. Jimenez did still make quality contact, ranking in the 90th percentile both in hard-hit rate and average exit velocity. Unfortunately, much of that contact was again on the ground, with Jimenez's 56.1 percent ground ball rate representing the fifth-highest mark in baseball among players with at least 300 plate appearances. Jimenez inked a minor-league deal with the Rays and is still young enough that a rebound is possible, but since 2021 he's averaging just 89 games and 12.5 homers per season. Read Past Outlooks
