2026 Fantasy Outlook
Locklear destroyed Pacific Coast League pitching while at Triple-A Tacoma last season, slashing .316/.401/.542 with 19 home runs and 18 stolen bases over 98 contests. He had to wait until late July before being promoted, however, and was then immediately shipped to the Diamondbacks in the Eugenio Suarez trade. Locklear's first impression in Arizona was not a good one. He put up a .529 OPS with a 37.1 percent strikeout rate in 31 games and then tore his left shoulder labrum and left elbow UCL on a collision at first base, which required season-ending surgery. Locklear's timeline to return is fuzzy, but he's not expected to be ready Opening Day. The 25-year-old still has long-term potential at first base, but his uncertain injury status and poor production so far in the majors have his 2026 prospects looking dire. Read Past Outlooks
