Closer Watch

Atlanta – Jason Grilli had his first meltdown as the Braves' closer Tuesday, putting two runners on and then allowing Dan Uggla to hit a go-ahead three-run homer. It was Grilli's first blown save, so he will not relinquish the job just yet.

Miami – Steve Cishek had a rocky game Monday while blowing a save opportunity, but righted the ship Tuesday by allowing a walk and getting through the ninth without major incident to earn his second save of the season.

New York Yankees – Both Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances had pitched two days in a row, so the Yankees turned to Chris Martin to close Tuesday. Martin allowed a hit and struck out one to earn his first career save.

Toronto – Brett Cecil moved back into the closer's role Tuesday and it looks like the move is indefinite, per a statement from manager John Gibbons. Cecil allowed a hit in a scoreless inning Tuesday to earn his first save of the season.

Recommended Pickup

Jake Marisnick, OF, HOU – Marisnick appears to be coming into his own in Houston, wrestling the lion's share of at-bats in centerfield, while slashing .362/.415/.574 with two home runs and six steals in 54 at-bats. He had performed well in the minors, but the 24-year-old failed to launch during a couple of opportunities with Miami. The Marlins traded Marisnick for Jarred Cosart last year and now Marisnick appears to have a good opportunity with the Astros. Colby Rasmus is stealing some at-bats, but Marisnick has been good enough to help in a strong number of different league formats.

Other Recent Recommendations:Rafael Montero, Jimmy Paredes, Mark Teixeira, Marcus Semien, Tony Watson, Steven Sousa.
