Closer Watch
Miami Marlins – A.J. Ramos displaced Steve Cishek on Monday as closer, ending speculation that new new Marlins manager Dan Jennings would use both in committee to solve the team's ninth inning woes. So far this season, the 28-year-old has allowed just two earned runs in 21 innings. A career-best K rate and improved control are powering an impressive run. If he is able to continue this success, not only will Ramos maintain control of the team's closing duties – he may end up as one of the league's elite relievers.

Recommended Pickup
Curtis Granderson, OF, NYM – With little fanfare, the veteran outfielder simply continues to plug along, and has recently shown signs of heating up with three home runs and a stolen base in the last two weeks. Granderson is one of the reasons the Mets are the surprise team in the National League, trailing the Giants by just 0.5 game in the wild card race. The 34-year-old initially struggled after the Mets signed him to a four-year, $60 million contract in 2014. His numbers will likely never return to the 40-plus home run levels when he was launching bombs over the short right field porch in Yankee Stadium. There is plenty of value, however, with a 20 and 10 season which he is on pace to put together. While everyone else rushes out to grab the next big thing, take a flyer on a reliable bat.
