Closer Watch

Miami Marlins - Since taking over for Steve Cishek, A.J. Ramos has been dominant in the closer role, converting 13 of his last 14 attempts while allowing just five runs over 37.2 innings on the season. He's also set down 46 via the strikeout and posting a 0.74 WHIP. Following Friday's shutout frame against the Cubs in which worked around a hit in a scoreless ninth, but didn't receive a save or a decision with the game going into extra innings.

Cleveland Indians - Cody Allen was dominant once again in Thursday's game against the Rays, setting down each of the three batters he faced with a strikeout to record his 15th save of the season. He flirted with the role in 2014, but didn't necessarily secure it and struggled through the first couple months of the 2015 campaign. However, he's turned the corner, and has now made 15 straight scoreless appearances for the Indians. While he may have been in danger of losing the role at some point, that's no longer the case.

Recommended Pickup

Alejandro De Aza, OF, BOS - Following a weak start to the 2015 season that saw him designated for assignment by the Orioles in early June, he's taken full advantage of a change of scenery in Boston. Since moving to Beantown, the 31-year-old outfielder has batted .338/.372/.662 with three home runs and 16 RBI, outpacing his totals from 30 games with the Orioles. He also rides an eight-game hitting streak into Friday night, keeping himself in a lineup on a daily basis. With Rusney Castillo failing to secure the position in his time with the club and the veteran Shane Victorino also doing little, De Aza may find himself in the lineup on a consistent basis, making him an interesting option in many formats.

Other Recent Recommendations:Cesar Hernandez, Mitch Moreland, Kendall Graveman, Michael Taylor, and Matt Cain
