Closer Watch

Texas Rangers – Shawn Tolleson for closer of the year? Okay, well, maybe I'm not that thrilled with Tolleson's production in 2015, but it should be noted that 27-year old pitcher has filled in admirably as the Rangers' closer when Neftali Feliz went down to injury. Feliz was just activated from the DL on Thursday, although don't expect him to reclaim the closer's role any time soon. The job is Tolleson's, until he can do no more. If you're a hedging towards saves though, Feliz isn't a horrible pick-up.

Recommended Pickup

Cesar Hernandez, 2B, PHI – You're not going to get much power from Hernandez, although he's quite scrappy when it comes to his recent play and other contributable stats. Hernandez is cranking the ball well of late, landing the confidence of Phillies' interim manager Pete Mackanin, suggesting that Hernandez could continue to play every day at second base even when Chase Utley is activated from the DL. Hernandez will give you average, stolen bases and runs scored. Hernandez is not an automatic pick-up, but he does deserve consideration as a middle infielder in some leagues.

Other Recent Recommendations:Mitch Moreland, Kendall Graveman, Michael Taylor, Matt Cain, Welington Castillo and Justin Turner.

DraftKings Value Picks

SP: Jesse Chavez, OAK ($7,000)
C: Jonathan Lucroy, MIL ($3,800)
1B: Adrian Gonzalez, LAD ($3,800)
2B: Rougned Odor, TEX ($3,700)
SS: Xander Bogaerts, BOS ($3,700)
3B: Adrian Beltre, TEX ($3,700)
OF: Marlon Byrd, CIN ($3,600)
