About one month ago, I wrote an article looking at bullpens and their impact on daily fantasy baseball. There are so many things to take into consideration when playing daily fantasy baseball and we keep adding more to the mix each season. Barrels and exit velocity are two that are making a huge impact lately, but I feel there is one very overlooked part of DFS baseball and that is bullpens.
When doing your initial hitting research, how often do you consider the bullpens? Are you just basing your decisions on the starting pitcher? The same goes for your starting pitching decisions. The win is still important, so you want a pitcher from a team that will nail down the win if he goes six or seven innings.
How much of an impact does the bullpen make? Well, bullpen innings represent about 38 percent of the total innings pitched in baseball.
