EricksonI'm really surprised the Packers-Bears line moved off 3 to 3.5 - must have been a lot of sharp money on the Packers. The Bears and Packers have played two tight games, including one in Week 17 where the Packers had to win and the Bears didn't. I know how well the Packers have played the last week, and it's hard to evaluate the Bears after a game against Seattle. But I get the idea this will be a field goal game, so give me the hook... The Steelers' offensive line really scares me, especially now that the Jets have rediscovered a pass rush. Sanchez is playing pretty well now, too. The Steelers were missing Polamalu and Miller last time, and that will help, but I could see the Jets winning this one outright. I'll gladly take the points.
PianowskiMy heart wants a Steelers-Packers Super Bowl. My head has not made very good postseason predictions this year.
LissI wouldn't bet either of these games as there are too many conflicting factors. The Jets are a good value at 3.5, but the setup is poor after the huge win, while the Packers are the better team, but they're laying more than a FG on the road in a rivarly game that had a total of 13 the last time the two played in Green Bay.
StopaAs right as I've been on Green Bay, I've been that wrong about the Jets. But I'm ready to double down again. I realize I said the same thing the last two weeks, but I just can't get past the disparity at the QB position. Ben is so much better than Sanchez, and this time the rest of the Jets don't have a huge talent disparity over the rest of the Steelers. In the NFC, we're watching the emergence of a QB who may wind up as the best of our generation. Unlike the AFC, where the great teams with elite QBs take turns in the big dance, the NFC could be Rodgers' door to many Super Bowls to come. The line is too high, but Rodgers is that good.
Del Don It seems I'm backing both teams most of the public is also on, made apparent by the lines already moving a half point, but it's becoming clear that matters little in the postseason. Frankly, I don't love either bet this week and would stay away.
